EKU is Seeking Volunteer Judges for the Colonel Classic Mock Trial Tournament!
On Saturday, January 17, and Sunday, January 18, 2025, Eastern Kentucky University will host its annual Colonel Classic Mock Trial Tournament at the Robert F. Stephens District and Circuit Courthouses in Lexington, KY. This invitational tournament features a strong field of teams from top programs across the country.
We rely on the support of judges, attorneys, law students, litigation paralegals, and former college mock trial competitors to serve as volunteer judges. KBA Members are eligible for up to two hours of public speaking credit for participating.
The schedule of rounds is as follows:
Saturday, January 17
Round 1: Judges arrive at 8:30 AM, trial from 9:15 AM - 12:15 PM
Round 2: Judges arrive at 1:30 PM, trial from 2:15 PM - 5:15 PM
Donuts and coffee will be available to judges before round 1. Lunch will be provided for judges between rounds 1 and 2.
Sunday, January 18
Round 3: Judges arrive at 8:30 AM, trial from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Round 4: Judges arrive at 1:30 PM, trial from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Donuts and coffee will be available to judges before round 3. Lunch will be provided to judges between rounds 3 and 4.
