    KDC recognized the winners of this year's awards at its Fall Seminar:

    • Diplomat - Robert M. Spragens, Jr. (nominated by John C. Miller)
    • Defense Lawyers of the Year - Stacey A. Blankenship (nominated by Jim Landry)
    • Young Lawyer - Olivia F. Amlung (nominated by Jeff Mando)

    Additionally, the Executive Committee recognized the work of two past presidents:

    • Robert ("Bob") M. Hoffer and Katherine ("Kit") M. Hornback (recognized at the program by KDC Past President, Mitch Hall.)

    The Executive Committee Award is not given each year.

    All of the award recipients will, hopefully, be presented with their awards at the KDC Spring Seminar on March 12th in Lexington.  Additionally, they will be featured in the Fall-Winter 2019-20 issue of Common Defense.

    Many thanks to KDC's Social Committee Chair, Jarad Key, for a fun-filled cocktail reception and a great list of trivia questions, all Kentucky related!  Around 44 individuals participated!  The trivia winners (Amazon gift cards) include Tia Combs, David Kramer, Andrew Yocum, Andrew DeSimone, Darrin Banks, Scott Burroughs, Jeb Jarrell, Beth Lochmiller, Scott Davidson, Jared Sigler, Ryan McLane, Chris Colson, Stacey Blankenship and Jason Coltharp.

    In-between trivia questions, discussions were held sharing current legal practices in light of COVID-19 and other such.
