    KDC welcomes its newest member, John Lawrence Forgy of L. Forgy & Associates, Frankfort.  Mr. Forgy is a 1996 Universit of Kentucky Law School graduate.  His practice involves the nursing home litigation.  Mr. Forgy is a member of DRI.

    At the Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 8, the 2013 Founders Award was presented to six individuals for their work in forming KDC at its onset.  Those individuals recognized include:

    KDC was planning to host a Deposition Boot Camp on January 24 & 25, 2014.  We have learned that the KBA will be holding a mandatory CLE program on that date for new attorneys.  We are looking at rescheduling this program at this time and will advise when a new date is in place.

    54 individuals were in attendance for the KDC Fall Seminar Thursday, November 7, afternoon session presented by the YLS Committee of KDC.  Many thanks to Stephanie Wurdock for lining up the great speakers:  John Trimble, Pierce Hamblin and Peter Ostermiller.

    53 individuals were in attendance for the KDC Fall Seminar on Friday, November 8.  Many thanks to Casey Stansbury for his work in lining up the fantastic speakers:  Robert Alexander, Jr., Barry Miller, Trey Moore, Jim Cooney, Guy Hughes & John Trimble.

    Many thanks to Denton & Keuler for donating two tickets for the November 8 UK basketball game.  They were won by Jessica Surber!

    The KDC Board of Directors met on Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the offices of Stoll Keenon Ogden in Lexington.  Park Priest of English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, Bowling Green, presided at his last meeting as President of KDC and Kit Hornback of Reinhardt & Associates, Lexington now serves as President of KDC.  Casey Stansbury of Fowler Bell, Lexington now serves as President-Elect and Brad Case of Dinsmore & Shohl, Louisville moves to the position of Vice-President.  Beth Lochmiller of Coleman, Lochmiller & Bond, Elizabethtown, was voted in as Secretary-Treasurer of KDC for 2013-14. 

    Jay Ridings of Hamm, Milby & Ridings, London was voted onto the Board as a Director for District 3 and Stephanie Wurdock of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, Lexington was voted onto the Board in her position as Chair of the YLS Committee.

    Bob Hoffer of Dressman, Benzinger & Lavelle, Crestview Hills, Kentucky rotates off the Board as Immediate Past President, but will remain active with the Board as an ex officio member; he will continue in his role as Chairman of the By-Laws Committee.

    Bridget Dunaway of Tooms & Dunaway, London, rotated off of the Board as a Director for District 3.  Thank you to Bridget for her years of service to the KDC Board.
